EUROMILS

EUROMILS

Secure European virtualisation for trustworthy applications in critical domains. The mission of the EURO-MILS project is to develop a solution for virtualisation of heterogeneous resources and provide strong guarantees for isolation of resources by means of Common Criteria certification with usage of formal methods.

SAFE

SAFE

Safe Automotive soFtware architEcture. The SAFE project will speed up the efficient development of safety features in cars. The objective is to enhance methods for defining safety goals and define development processes complying with the new ISO26262 standard for functional safety in automotive electrical and electronic systems. As traceability of safety requirements through the whole lifecycle is an essential need, the project bases the meta-model and tool platform on interoperable standards.

AXIOM

AXIOM

The AXIOM project (Agile, eXtensible, fast I/O Module) aims at researching new software/hardware architectures for CPSs to meet the above expectations. The current solutions for providing enough computational power are mainly based on multi- or many-core architectures. For example, some current research projects (such as ADEPT or P-SOCRATES) are already investigating how to join efforts from the High-Performance Computing (HPC) and the Embedded Computing domains, which are both focused on high power efficiency, while GPUs and new Dataflow platforms such as Maxeler, or in general FPGAs, are claimed as the most energy efficient ones. For this reason, AXIOM research will not be limited to only one kind of technology, but it will start from power efficient multi-cores such as ARM cores and FPGA accelerators on the same die as in the Xilinx Zynq.

MCF

MIXED-CRITICALITY FORUM

SAFURE joined the Mixed-Criticality Forum. The goal of the Mixed-Criticality Forum (MCF) is to provide access to selected project results for the community. Targeted members of the community are
(a) component developers that have a real interest in and incentives for developing components initially based on the results produced in projects related to mixed-criticality systems (e.g., tools, platform components); and
(b) community of application developers that use the resulting architecture for safety-critical applications. Organizations The MCF furthermore provides a forum for stakeholders and community members to interactively develop and discuss the innovation roadmap for mixed-criticality systems of the future.
