Nearly 9 months after the kick-off meeting and more than 60 conference calls later, the SAFURE consortium met for the 1st overall technical meeting in Barcelona, Spain. From 3rd to 5th November 2015 all partners participated to encourage the project collaboration, fix the further schedule and discuss pending topics.

The host of the meeting, BSC, invited the SAFURE partners to a guided tour through the “Mare Nostrum”. It is the most powerful supercomputer in Spain and one of the fastest in Europe. It has 10.240 processors with a final calculation capacity of 94.21 Teraflops.
